The Client Brief
The clients desired an unhurried, monolithic sanctuary that embraced the extreme desert climate while providing an intimate, tactile family residence.
The Architectural Concept
We rotated the living axis 18 degrees to eliminate harsh western glare while capturing framed mountain silhouettes through deep overhangs.
The On-Site Execution
Cast-in-place pigmented concrete walls harmonize with hand-cut Roman travertine and custom smoked oak casework throughout all five bedrooms.
